IF YOU HAVE NOT Currently DONE SO, BEFORE READING ANY Additional PLEASE study THE ADVICE IN CHAPTER-1 OF THIS GUIDE .  IT ADVISES YOU ON WHAT TO ASK A SURGEON AT THE CONSULTATION STAGE.  I RECOMMENDTHAT YOU PAY Specific ATTENTION TO POINTS 1.4 TO 1.13.

Many thanks to this procedure – in combination with mastopexy (breast uplift) - I have ultimately been given the woman’s body that I should have had since teenage.  For this procedure, I strongly highly recommend that you raise the following points with your surgeon:

You can view a few result photograph of my breasts on Pinterest.

2.1.1.   The various types of implant fillings available (for instance, ordinary silicone gel, cohesive silicone gel –such as my own – and saline-filled ones) and their respective advantages and disadvantages.  (You are likely to find that, just like my breast surgeon, your surgeon already has a ideal type of implant with strong reasons for that preference).

2.1.2.   The likelihood of implant rupture.  (With cohesive silicone gel implants, this is reported to be extremelylow).

2.1.3. How with cohesive silicone gel transplants you might actually identify any rupture since(not like in the situation of saline-filled implants, for instance) the gel may not actually leak.  (The breast instruction manual from my surgeon states that investigation of cohesive gel implants is done mainly by periodic medical check-ups).

2.1.4.  What results implant rupture would have on your body and how the situationwould be dealt with.

2.1.5. The varying surfaces of implant shell – smooth and textured – and their particular advantages and drawbacks.

2.1.6. The likelihood of capsular contracture (thickening of the scar tissues that forms around the implant which can cause the implant to harden) and what actions can be made to assist stop it.  (My breast surgeon reports that capsular contracture is very infrequent to start with, and that where it does occur, it is usually within the first 48 hours of surgery. Besides, he avows that the use of textured transplant [such as my own] incorporated with in your daily life breast massage therapy [as is suggested by many other surgeons as well] can give further protection against capsular contracture).

2.1.7. What actions would need to be carried out in the event of capsular contracture anyway (whether within the 1st 48 hours or more down the line).

2.1.8. By what course the transplant will be rooted – whether through the line under the breast, through the areola [the dark area surrounding the teat of the nipple], by means of the armpit, or through the bellybutton (yes, the bellybutton!) – and the particular benefits and drawbacks of theseroutes.

2.1.9. The differentshapes of implant out there –round or droplet – and their particular advantages and drawbacks.

2.1.10.  How you would like your breasts to look.  This will need tocover each implant-size and prospective cleavage, and the presentation of a photoof your preferred result is,at my view, essential.

2.1.11.  The “life-span” of implants, since they do not last endlessly.

2.1.12.  Up to what age a lady can “take” implants.  (My breast surgeon tell me a woman can make them – changing them each time they “expire”, of course – for as long as she remains strong sufficient to do it).

2.1.13. The positioning of the implant – no matter in front of the pectoral muscle or behind it – and the respective advantages and drawbacks of both of these positions.

2.1.14.  How you can look forward to mammograms to be performedon you right after the procedure, and whether or not you must to have one done in advance of the operation.

2.2.  The following are pieces of important information on breast improvement that I both found for myself and was happy with in advance of my consultations:

2.2.1. Breast transplant do not interfere with breastfeeding.

2.2.2. You will find, as implied in 2.1.14 above, special techniques for carrying out mammograms on ladies with breast implants.

2.2.3.  There is no established link between breast implants and cancer.

2.2.4. “Breast-bounce” when getting fit can be controlled by a strong sports bra (of which there are a great many both in shops and online).  I can individually recommend particular products.  Contact me at Gina Blacks Beauty Store..

2.3.  now for more pieces of information on breast augmentation that I have learnt from my own skills:

2.3.1.  For roughly two weeks after the procedure it is really painful to bring up your arms high.  Doing so could burst the stitches on the incisions besides.  As you can anticipate, this makes it hardly to do things like reach up for a mantle in a shop or in a kitchenette cupboard.  Accordingly, it is essential to have techniques in place to help you cope with such day-to-day actions during the inital two weeks post-op.

2.4. further in-detail information about breast augmentation, you might like to view Breast Implant Information Society.  This site is dedicated to this one process, and it shows an example of the appearance of breasts throughout different stages of the settling period.

2.5. Once you are past the healing step, you may like to give your new breasts a good additional boost with skin-care items targeted at the preservation of the bustline.  You would find products of this class at Gina Blacks Beauty Store under “body”.
